Downsizing Parnassus

It isn't every day that a Muse drops in to monitor her writer's progress, but Parnassus is downsizing its inspiration staff and Kate's Muse's job is on the line. Under her guidance, Kate attempts to make her writing commercially viable: a quick trawl through Aga Saga, Romantic Thriller, Modern Fiction, with some obligatory social comment and a staggering number of co-incidences produces a tongue-in-cheek plot that somehow manages to combine the genres and dispose satisfactorily of all but one loose end. And as for the Muse... she too finds a satisfactory resolution.
