Do Over

The girl of my dreams blew into my life like a warm ocean breeze, and then whirled out of it like a hurricane. All my fault. One single omission...one simple acknowledgement that I had a girlfriend back home. When Kara discovered the truth, she left town without a word. Changed her number too. Not that I blame her for leaving. I screwed up. I never should have kept it from her. But I did. And I regret every moment of it. After a fruitless search to set things right, I ended up heading for home for the summer. I needed to put Kara out of my mind and try to figure out how I became such an idiot. I never imagined fate would give me another chance. But there she was, standing in the local vet's office, a fierce storm in her eyes.
