Do-Gooders

Sheriff Dan Parks is again faced with two horrific deaths in his county. This time the violent loss of life was not caused by man encroaching on another animal's habitat, as in Barker's Pond, but the deliberate murders of two well known and loved young women. The blood has barely dried from the first crime scene before the Logan County Sheriff's Department is besieged by yet another horrendous act. The two violent murders slam the small rural community of Jennings into a tailspin of suspicion and fear. After the second murder, Sheriff Parks' instincts tell him that these deaths were not a coincidence. They are the act of a cold blooded killer with an agenda. He believes others are in danger, and it's only a matter of time before the killer strikes again. With the clock ticking and his credibility in question, the beleaguered and understaffed sheriff works feverishly to peel away the layers of motive and deceit to uncover the terrifying evil that has his county in its grip.
