Die Like A Star

Peter Surf is the most gonzo private eye in crime fiction. His job: bodyguard the transgender teen child of a Hollywood action movie star visiting dad's own ski resort town in Oregon. The protection is from an organized stalker targeting the teen for death. The kid is a snotty drug addict, the stalker has taken over the town, has his own religion, and the action star is his top disciple. Add a colony of displaced L.A. organized crime culture waiting for its shot, and Surf has to clean up the town in gonzo Surf fashion.
