St. Louis has fallen and Fort Leonard Wood is gone. With the arrival of the Hrimthurssar, everything has changed. The dead are no longer the biggest threat to their survival. Wylie and the other Einherjar have learned that the Hrimthurssar are actually the Frost Giants of Norse Legend. Not only are they the servants of Loki, but they can control the dead. Since the comets struck the moon and blotted out the sky, the Fimbul Winter has begun and has plunged the world into an ice age. Now, both Einherjar and Hrimthurssar must work together to battle a common threat. Just as the Frost Giants have emerged again into the world of men, so now have the Eldjötnar.
