Death of a Fop

This is a tribute to Jane Austen; after the events of her 'Emma', though the main protagonists might live happily ever after, Jane Fairfax Churchill expected an idyllic marriage with Frank Churchill. Unfortunately for her, the humiliating games he played in Highbury were only the hint of what was to come. His spendthrift habits did not help with marital harmony, and when a Bow Street Runner came to tell Jane that her husband had been murdered, she was more relieved than anything else. However, Frank's killer wants something and Jane has to help the Bow Street Officer, Caleb Armitage, to find out exactly why Frank was killed, and to find his killer to protect herself and her family.
