Marine Biologist Jack Ferrell gets the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join a two-man military crew aboard the deep-ocean research submersible, Alvin. Their mission is to explore the wreckage of the famous WWII cruiser-USS Indianapolis-lying three-and-a-half miles beneath the surface of the Philippine Sea.His adventure into the perpetual darkness of this historic deep-water war grave is cut short when the director at NOAA orders his immediate return to Oahu, Hawaii, to investigate an unexplained outbreak of shark attacks happening off Waikiki Beach. This assignment not only reunites him with Honolulu Police Detective Brian Tokunaga, it also lands him directly in the path of a ruthless businessman who kills to get what he's after.
