Deadly Innocents

Hot days, Hot nights, cold murder. Los Angeles was thick with heat and smoke from a raging Santa Barbara fire when Paul Shaw began searching for a killer. His client: a beautiful secretary by day, a punker by night. His victim: her husband, found dead in a supply closet, one of four college dropouts who capped a wild year-long spree selling pharmaceutical drugs they had somehow acquired. Shaw starts digging, following a disparate trail that leads from a dark Hollywood nightclub and a punk hangout to the guarded estate of a man who'll pay quite handsomely if Shaw will forget the kids and go home. But for Shaw, murder is just a living, he hopes.
