About This Book

Life as a paranormal investigator is bringing Lewis Crocker down. Poor assignments; lack of sleep and too many uneventful nights in supposed 'haunted houses' drive him to accept his next case in Oak Ridge, Shropshire. On arrival, everything seems normal. The village is small but picturesque. The countryside surrounding it, is beautiful. Yet something is not right. No people walk the streets. No traffic passes on the roads. The whole village is draped in unearthly silence. The case he's been sent to investigate concerns voodoo and the black arts, and Crocker, sceptical at first, quickly uncovers a plot that is so dark and evil that his life is plunged into immediate danger. It soon becomes clear that a mistake Crocker made two years earlier has come home to roost. Somebody he knows well is out for revenge and will stop at nothing to get it. Crocker's problems do not end there, however. The lurking residents of Oak Ridge have been captured and altered. They have been turned into murderous killing machines by a force much greater than Crocker could ever imagine possible. Each and every step the investigator takes on those streets could easily be his last.
