P.I. Allison Hart has done her best to remain friends with ex-husband, Leo. After all, they share two kids, who happen to be grown now. So when Leo invites her to his wedding, Allison does the right thing, and drags her partner and best friend, Charlie Wells, along for the ride. However, when a surprise guest makes an appearance, Leo is thrown for a loop.Terry Hart and his son have been at odds for years. Now, with the wedding invite from Leo's new wife, Terry has a foot in the door, and he intends to use it. While Leo is still on his honeymoon, he calls on Allison to help Terry after his apartment is robbed. Both are reluctant to believe the tale, but Allison agrees to step in because that's what she does. She remains at Leo's beck and call, just ask Charlie. When Terry's story doesn't add up, Allison suspects he's back to his old tricks. With a little digging, the mystery that is Terry begins to unravel and Allison learns of his gambling debts. Now his motives become crystal clear. However, Allison may have dug too deep when she discovers just exactly who Terry owes and how they intend to be repaid.
