Dame Detective

You're invited to join Johnny Fracas, crime beat reporter and hopeful novelist, at his annual Christmas Eve party where he's determined to impress the Dame and perhaps even win her heart -- at least, until a surprising and unusual murder takes the event in a completely different direction. It's a Dickens of a party with a twist that no one sees coming, not even the Dame Detective, in this short story featuring the private eye, the rugged reporter, and an assortment of quirky characters.
