Countdown at College Station

Countdown at College Station is an action-adventure novel with some unusual twists. The antagonist, an al Qaeda extremist, is killed by his own cohorts in a squabble over leadership, but the new leader is even more fanatic and escalates the terror to nuclear weapons. The protagonist, a nuclear engineering professor at Texas A&M, out-smarts the bad guys and races to save American cities from unthinkable disaster. ALL OF THIS IS THE SUB-PLOT. The real story, which readers do not realize until the ending, is about depression. It s really about how one man risks his life to save hundreds of thousands, and in so doing, overcomes his illness.
