Doris is struggling to find a supplier for the upcoming Ashby High School graduation when her best friend mentions a new local greenhouse that could be just the solution she's looking for. But when she shows up for their first meeting, she stumbles across his body with a knife in his heart. Having found the body, Doris is one of the first suspects to be questioned. And when her husband, Detective Will Shephard, is thrown off the case for giving her preferential treatment, Doris is worried about him losing his job. She takes it upon herself to solve the murder so they can have their comfortable life back.
