Copperopolis

A private investigator is thrust into a murder mystery one night when his surveillance target, a small town girl, turns up dead. He must hunt down her killer to get to the truth, along the way discovering the unique history of a not-so-quaint California community. Strap yourself in as he uncovers a lost connection between Mark Twain and Nikola Tesla, an abandoned copper mine, and Osama bin Laden. Written in 2009, when the hunt for bin Laden had been all but forgotten, this story provides some interesting perspectives on his whereabouts at that time, and an uncanny coincidence with the real story.
