It was a story that began as many do, "Once upon a time . . . " and was conjured out of the night sky, where stars mingled with the gods and heaven was played out on earth The tale unwound over many nights before Isabelle went to sleep. It was about the Cretan princess, Ariadne, whose life was inextricably entwined with the mythical beast, the Minotaur, and the labyrinth. It was later in Isabelle's life after meeting Theo that the voices from the past and given life by her father, would thread into her own reality. Weaving myth and a contemporary tale, the story of Isabelle and Theo is one of love, longing and journeys. Their relationship sets them on a path where both are faced with having to confront what lies within to move beyond what they know.
