About This Book

What happens when the balance is broken, and two worlds that had always been kept apart are suddenly brought together? That is just one of the many questions that are addressed in this book, a book in which the magical and the mundane collide, and in which the stakes are raised much higher.

In this sequel to Citlalli on the Edge of the Wind the story picks up right where the previous volume left off, and we are confronted with the consequences of the events portrayed in that first book. Is it even possible for things to go back to the way they were after everything that has happened? That doesn't seem particularly feasible... especially not when a new threat arises, and the certainties that had sustained the magical beings for centuries are shaken to the core. Can this new enemy be stopped, and if so, at what cost?

Defying the conventions of the genre, in this series Clea Saal manages to combine a deceivingly simple plot with a far more complex narrative in which both the human and the magical realm exist as equals. They mix and they interact in a universe in which each of them plays by its own rules, but also one in which both are integral parts of a single whole.
