About This Book

Like many young people of this generation, Drew Davenport's life unfolded according to plan. An athlete in a small town high school, he worked his way through a regional university, and expects to marry Nicole LaClede when he finishes law school.
Things start going wrong during his first year in law school-little things at first. He loses his keys, misplaces his cell phone, and barely misses hitting a car. But the Camry behind hits him, knocking his clunker into the Honda he missed.
Nicole worries that Drew, with a full time job and heavy student load, works too hard. But when he finds his room trashed, they know he has an enemy. Then the co-ed that hit Drew's Ford goes missing. Police receive a tip that Drew followed her and they bring Drew in for questioning.
Things look bad for Drew when the missing girl surfaces in an empty house in Drew's hometown, a house that Drew knows well.
Local police try to help Drew but a turf war between city cops and a back-woods sheriff tie their hands.
When Nicole seeks information on her own, she gets more than she bargained for.
