Chicken Rock

Chicken Rock - an exposed, deadly, barren rock no bigger than one quarter of an acre at low tide. At high tide, it disappears completely. You wouldn't want to find yourself stranded there with only a desolate, burned-out lighthouse for shelter.

The Irish Sea is cold and swarms with stinging Lion's Mane and Portuguese Mar O' War jellies. To add to its ruthless reputation, there's an amphidromic point just south of the Isle of Man which is rife with some of the most dangerous and violent sea currents in the world.
