Being mistaken for a prominent Chicago area hooker is downright disconcerting, especially when there's a chance it might be true. This sort of situation would be easier for Meegan to take if she wasn't also plagued by spooks, ghosts and a total lack of impulse control. Miss Jones is carefully considering turning herself in to a psych ward, when she meets Schuyler Mills, the schizophrenic eldest son of an local business tycoon. With help from Schuyler, harassment from the great beyond, and a healthy dose of hostility, Meegan begins to piece together a perilous picture. Chasing Shadows brings Meegan face to face with underhanded cops, brooding love, and the Chicago sex industry.
