Born into wealth, Penelope Lawrence always had everything she ever wanted. She was a good girl - raised to be a lady. Too bad her step-mother was anything but a role model. After her father died, Penelope left the house they shared to fend for herself, swindled out of her inheritance.

But not having any work experience, her savings depleted and she found herself as a housemaid to one of the wealthiest families in the city.
