Carne the Ruby

While visiting a local tavern, Brashani, a fire mage and former investigator, hears a tale about a gem set into a wooden idol. He suspects it is the next Aglari they are looking for. The wizard’s companions are not as sure and want Daniel to confirm the information by reading the mind of the old man who related the story. The teen does this and the group travels up the coast in search of the magic jewel. Upon arriving, however, they discover the gem is attached to the totem and cannot be removed without unleashing a great evil. Puzzling through this, James accidentally releases the evil thing and sets it free. Now they all must fight for their lives or die as fodder for the evil beast they have let loose upon the world.
