The body of an eccentric woman is discovered entangled on the racks of a shellfish grant. This strange woman claimed to know all the secrets of Oystertown. Hannah and Martin Brewster again join their son, Jeff, a journalist, and his good friend Chief Miyu Lee in the investigation. Complications come their way from the glamorous Lola LeMay and the rogue, Armand DeCristo. Their journey takes them from the waters of Cape Cod Bay to the British Library in London to the Berkshires in search of the clues to the murder.
