Blood Wings

Anita Martin wanted to start over. A simple wish, simply solved: she moved with her two small sons, Wade and Timmy, to a lovely, quiet place on the edge of the Everglades. And there she discovered hell.

It begins with a recurring nightmare for ten-year-old Wade--a vision of a batlike figure as tall as a man, with sharp talons and fangs...and silken black wings. Only bad dreams, scaring a young boy out of sleep. Until that day in the mangrove swamp when the terrifying creature of the night reached out and grabbed...and kept grabbing. One after another, visitors to the swamp disappeared, their screams echoing through the night.
