Late one night in the eleventh century, Lindsey Henessy made a pact with the devil himself, cursing her entire family line. Thirteen years later, his children, Emily and Thomas are now all grown up, both making a name for themselves in this parallel universe. Things start to get weird, it starts with Lord Gaube threatening Emily for her hand in marriage, then leads up to their dead father reappearing to complete a certain task in approximately thirty-six hours. Black Tide Rising is the first book in it's series, it builds a good plot, and keeps the reader guessing!
