This story picks up a year after Long Live the Queen. The kingdom has been running so smoothly that boredom has taken its toll. The two children are so bored that when the attack comes, they are unprepared for it. Escaping back to our world, they find that the trouble has infected both worlds. Bits and pieces are being shifted through space and time and the fabric of creation is in danger. Who can be causing this and why? They have precious little time to find out before everything from both worlds is lost.
A Strange Friendship:
Facing poverty and a harsh winter for his family, Fred Horst, a small rural farmer, makes a desperate move to steal gold from a dragon's hoard. Being caught in the act should have ended his life; instead, it begins an adventure for him that he could never have dreamed of. Battling evil and saving damsels in distress are only a part of what must be done. The dragon hunters have gotten too close and the future of the dragon race is uncertain. Can Fred find a means to keep his friend and both of their families alive?
