Bake Sale Mystery

Teenagers aren't stubborn, but when they're determined to accomplish a goal, they always do. Regan Caldwell and Taylor Fitzgerald are just like that. One day Regan is living an idyllic life in a small town. The next day her parents are killed in a car accident, leaving the seventeen year old feeling helpless. She's the new kid in school and is concerned what others will think. Her best friend, Taylor, provides emotional support and her uncle, Bob Adams, comes to the rescue. At a bake sale fund raiser for the drama club, the mother of a student dies. Recalling her own experience days earlier, Regan befriends the girl. She and Taylor teach the classmate about boys, clothes, make-up, shopping, and dating but not necessarily in that order. The friends learn the girl had a complicated relationship with her mother. They discover lies surrounding the unexpected death. Curiosity killed the cat, but that doesn't apply to Regan and Taylor. Will their nosiness and determination lead them to solve the mystery? Did someone commit murder or was the death an accident? One thing's for certain: the butler didn't do it. He's one of 3,000 murder suspects at a butler convention in New York City.
