Azalea: My Angel Consort

Azalea was dying. She could feel her life's essence seeping from the gaping wound in her side. When she heard an angel land next to her and felt the sword from her hand get pulled away. Azalea believed the fates had answered her prayers for a quick death. She looked up into his amazing amethyst eyes and knew immediately he was her true mate. Not that it mattered. Being true mates meant nothing if you were enemies. So, imagine her surprise when he shifted back into the form of an angel and gently lifted her body in his talons and took flight.
