An Opportunity for Revenge

Andy Bowers, ex-Coast Guard rescue swimmer, is rich and bored. He has taken over the offices of his recently deceased godfather, mostly as a base to manage his money. He signed up for a private-investigator correspondence course in the hope of adding a little excitement to his life, but action isn't exactly flooding through the door. Mostly he pursues his hobbies including sailboat racing, scuba diving, skiing, and just about any sport that looks exciting. His need for excitement ends one day when his office administrator is murdered and he is wounded. He hires an old adversary, Stone Mendez, to watch his back as more attempts are made on his life. Together the two track the killer through a tangle of confusion trying to solve the mystery of who could possibly gain from the killing. When his old friend's wife and son are kidnapped and held for ransom the "who" mystery is solved, and how to get them back alive becomes the focus of their efforts.
