A tragic road accident on a bleak moorland road lures PI Jack Scott to the Isle of Mull, and into a web of intrigue stretching back more than 30 years. Only hours after arriving on the island, talks with motor mechanic Jim Gorrie and the elegant sexagenarian Peggy McBride convince Scott that the crash that killed Bridie Button was no accident.
