History touches Gordon Beckwith. Now Gordon slips into the past when he tours a destroyer and Old Ironsides.Gordon starts a new job as a summer intern at the Charlestown Navy Yard, home to the U.S.S. Constitution and the U.S.S. Cassin Young.He must deal with another teenager, Summer Atkins, who hates this job and smokes weed. Their boss, Benny Goodman, dislikes interns and dislikes himself because he had planned a life of literary fame and fortune. He wants to know how Gordon disappears on the two ships.
