For a hot second, aspiring playwright Kate Connolly's dreams almost came true. Almost. Seeing her work onstage in New York City was nearly a reality…until the star -- and her bestie -- had a mimosa-induced accident. Now she's a week away from opening night, she's missing her leading man and she's on the verge of losing her venue. But where exactly do you find the perfect understudy with an unforgettable voice?

As it turns out, in her apartment. Her shower, to be exact.

Because right at this moment, her bestie's outrageously hot snack of an older brother -- and her crush of at least a decade -- is currently lathering up and belting out tunes from her bathroom. Now all Kate has to do is convince Jackson Reese to star in her show. Because what hot, brawny construction guy who hates New York would turn down (checks notes) being in an off-Broadway showcase?
