A Talent For Murder

Some celebrities have all the luck. Unfortunately, musical comedy star Polly Pepper isn't one of them. With her career circling the drain and her bank account at an alarming new low, she agrees to join the judges' panel on a new reality T.V. talent show, "I'll Do Anything to Become Famous." And as she soon discovers, people really will do anything to become famous--even commit murder...
Polly Pepper's been hired to be the "nice" judge on "I'll Do Anything to Become Famous," the latest reality T.V. show to hit the airwaves, in which contestants have to prove that they'll go for another's jugular in order to get their names in the headlines. But someone takes the show's theme literally when Thane Cornwall, the relentlessly critical and universally hated British judge on the panel, is found dead with a ten-inch knife in his back...

Suspicion quickly lands on the assistant to the network's president, who was apparently caught red-handed at the scene. But Polly knows that all five of the talent-challenged contestants who had been cut to shreds by Thane on national T.V., held a motive for wanting the obnoxious judge dead--including the show's host who coveted and now holds Thane's post as judge.

But if there's one thing Polly's learned over the years, it's that nothing in Hollywood is ever as it seems. Now she'll have to get to the bottom of this mystery before her star on the Walk of Fame may soon be put out by a cunning killer...
