JJ Manion knows that trying for a big comeback after an injury and resuming his former status as Sydney's top jockey by riding Shadowmaker to victory in the upcoming races will be tricky at best. He never counted on the murder of a friend and fellow jockey drawing him into a mystery with life-or-death stakes. Author Bio: Author John Higgins was born in Neilston, Scotland and moved to Australia with his family as a teenager. He is a professional horse jockey in Sydney. John has ridden a number of champion horses, among them the legendary Takeover Target. He still rides today, but is looking to swap his boots for a pen with the publication of A Ride with Crime.
