A Rain of Vampires

Vampires in Seattle encounter a wounded veteran of the Afghanistan conflict, Josh Savage. Josh has fallen on hard times. He lost his job as a cop under a cloud of suspicion, then his wife was run down by a drunk driver. Long a devout Catholic, he is now a lapsed believer, full of doubts.Then a foreign warlock arrives in Seattle and people die strange deaths and vampire ghosts appear. Josh's old partner on the force calls on him to, unofficially, help out with the investigation. Okay, he's learned a few things about the supernatural world, enough to know he needs a Protector when dealing with vampires.
