A Faery Tale

Summer Fletcher is a quiet and introspective young girl with few friends, and a strange illness which keeps her at arms length from most of her classmates. She buries herself into a world of fiction as an escape, until one day when she discovers that her favorite willow tree is actually home to over a dozen faeries. This home, however, is threatened and if the tree is cut down, the faeries within it will die. The young girl is placed in charge of efforts to save the tree, and Summer finds herself needed to work with both her mother and her teacher to see this to completion, all while torn between the world of humans and that of her new faery friends. Her time is running short and Summer wonders if she had the courage and focus to do the right thing before it is too late.
