3G changed the world! Society had evolved so much that we felt the need to create our own problems. Instead of a civilized world that could potentially sustain itself for the foreseeable future, we decided to create a world that destroyed our children. With 10G coming out next week, looking back it seems so strange how far we came without wondering why they don't care about my problems; problems that they created. It all started with the notion that we, the average person, were smarter than modern science. After years of reaping the rewards of science, people began to believe that the cure was the enemy. Parents refused to vaccinate their own children from the evils of the world that we had almost eradicated. It hit the urban areas the hardest. Waves of Hepatitis, then the Super Measles, not to be outdone by Diphtheria. Each more devastatingly horrific than in the past with almost nothing to slow them down. Eight billion people died in the wake of these epidemics. 3G turned the tide.The first generation was never made public, but you can still view the gruesome military testing of it in the bowels of the dark internet. 2G was the corporate spinoff. Tested in the spotlight, seeking FDA approval. 3G was never tested, it was thrown upon the masses as a tourniquet by the government. I see now that they had little choice. There was little hope for the blind. The artificial intelligence that created 3G was exceptional but had physical limitations. It was marketed as GeneCure Generation 3 by CareNET and later was dubbed in the history books as 3G. 3G was the first success in a series of genetic engineering cures pushed through hypnotic visual imagery to the public, absorbed by our brains, allowing each person to rewrite their DNA and generate their own natural vaccination to these rampant plagues. Once the decision was made, they sent it out over from every electronic media that existed. The effects were instantaneous. Those of us that remained appeared to have super armor. People retired their masks. 3G saved us all! But like any corporation when money is to be made, CareNET did not stop there. Like any good drug dealer, the first dose was free, but you get paid on the comeback. The AI that created 4G halted cancer dead in its tracks and kept it away forever. 5G repaired our hearts allowing them to beat forever, killing off heart disease. 6G redesigned our brains, preventing strokes, halting Alzheimer's, and improving all mental facilities. 7G made us indestructible, repairing all the remaining internal organs almost instantly curing everything. 8G made our immune systems proactively fight organisms outside of our bodies cleansing our environment. 9G allowed us to store our memories digitally, allowing us to live for all eternity. Digital Reincarnation if you will. It was marketed as Infinity. They say 10G will unlock our minds and bring superpowers such as Telepathy. I wish that I could see it now, but I am like a few others. I lost my eyes before I could fix them myself. Now I am doomed to be at 6G for my remaining days. Damaged by the effects of my Diabetes and now there is no way for me to get 7G without my eyes. Medicine is AI now. Doctors no longer exist. All other treatments are gone. I am placed amongst the forgotten. The few of us that remain are known as the 6ers. Every now and then, someone feels our pain. They offer to try and go back to fix the 6ers, only to find out the hard way that CareNET Corporate does not allow competition. CareNET's solution is to wait out our unfixable bodies and let us simply die off. Welcome to my hell.
