Officially, Dave Bolt is a sports agent, representing professional athletes in basketball, football, baseball, hockey—you name it. Unofficially, he's a kind of undercover operator, a troubleshooter for a number of pro sports organizations. He's there to sweep the drug problems, the corruption, and the sex scandals under the rug.
Bolt's walk on the dark side starts with one phone call concerning the hottest basketball prospect in the country. It ends with a hairline fracture of his cheekbone, temporary blindness, a scrotumful of somebody's knee, and the loss of the most promising marital prospect since his divorce.
