13 Tales to Fright and Delight

It was supposed to be a simple visit-a final goodbye to Great-grandmother, bedridden and fading. But in the dim light of her desert home, the old woman begins to weave stories unlike any the girl has ever heard. They are tales of fright and delight, tales of ghosts, clockwork girls, vanished children, and hunger in the dark. But as the nights go on, the girl begins to sense a thread connecting them all-something upspoken. The house itself seems to hum with secrets. And she begins to wonder if Great-grandmother's stories might be warnings, or memories, or something else entirely.

Each tale carries a clue, and together, they point toward one final story.
