A series of baffling fires around San Diego has culminated at a top secret naval research facility. When Special Agent Patrick Bowers is called in to investigate, his unique ability to pinpoint the time, place, and spatial factors of any crime tells him that the blaze wasn't the work of a firebug or terrorist.
