Secrets Within

Laine Sibley's life is entangled in secrets. Her younger sister, Kathleen, has died of cancer, leaving Laine to care for a five-year-old niece--and to solve a series of mysteries.

Kathleen's friend Pat offers encouragement and support, but something about her behavior sets off Laine's internal alarms. Laine's new neighbor, Jeff, meanwhile, seems caring and supportive, but he inexplicably disappears when she needs him most.

After a series of attempted break-ins, someone leaves an anonymous note at Laine's home, threatening both her and her niece. Laine reports the incidents to the police but longs for more support. Where should she turn for help? Should she trust Jeff, or is he the underlying source of her troubles? And how will she ever discover the keys to unlock Kathleen's final secrets?
