AH, SWEET MYSTERY OF LIFE...

Mariella Chase graciously swept back her golden curls, sat down at her secretary, and proceeded to write -- with relish. She had not penned one of her whodunits since before widowhood. Only now she was not simply writing a mystery, she was living it! Indeed, Mariella had recently discovered the body of a young woman done in by an unknown assailant.

Now, the deceased was one Miss Merryweather, governess to the young daughters of that hand-some widower and infamous rake, the Marquis of Rushworth. Moreover, rumor had it that she had been his inamorata. Discerning Mariella noted all the ingredients for a smashing fiction and intended to use them...but the incensed Marquis had other ideas! Clash they might, yet neither gadabout nobleman nor beautiful widow could suspect that the greatest mystery to be solved was that of their own yearning hearts.
