Glenna Mayfield has been taking care of the family business for more than ten years, but it looks as if her time of independence is up. After her father, an ex-convict, has a stroke, she decides she can't handle things on her own. With so much personal responsibility and past mistake s screaming in her head, Glenna has a hard time trusting anyone, especially those who have "served time." Brent Parker has served his time and is ready to get back to real life, but when he finds a job at the Marine Mammal Sanctuary, his new boss will hardly let him forget he has a criminal record.
