Disenchanted with the politics of working in an upscale Washington D.C. restaurant, twenty-seven-year-old chef Lydia Lord resigns from her job and resolves to make it on her own.

She returns home to Baltimore with plans to launch a gourmet market. But when Lydia volunteers to be a chef at a summer camp for less-advantaged kids, her life takes an unexpected turn - into the arms of former football star Kennedy Fletcher.

Muscular, broad-shouldered Kennedy may look like a typical jock, but four years ago he proved otherwise when he turned down a multimillion-dollar contract to open Camp Six Nations instead.
