He creates a special project to help U.S. soldiers near the end of World War II. Then, he helps save Christmas for his little sister when the weather just isn't cooperating and it may not be a white Christmas. Next he creates a solar-powered go-kart for himself when his parents tell him he cannot have one with a gasoline engine as they are too unreliable and dangerous. Finally, while designing a better kite, Tom hits on a way to help a local utility company and begins to make money for himself and the family business.This book also includes the short tale of how Tom foils his sister's attempts to borrow some of his persona things without asking and teaches her a good lesson in the process.These stories follow a period of about two years in his young life with each story following the previous one by a matter of just days or weeks.The stories are written for most age groups, but will be enjoyable for ay adult who read the old Tom Swift Jr. stories and ever wondered how it all happened for the young man.
