It wasn't before the end of the month, Debby Strong noticed there was money missing from their joint account. She phoned her husband Burt, and asked if he knew anything about the missing two thousand dollars. Of course I don't, he said. So Debby went down to the bank, and got a copy of the canceled check. It was Burt, he had paid the two thousand to a doctor Schmitt, for an abortion on a Miss Alice David. Debby threw all Burt's clothing out on the lawn, and changed the lock on the door. Then she phoned her mother, and her friend Liz, and explained the entire mess. Two days later, Debby's mother phoned the police, and said that Debby was missing. The police had put a 24/7 surveillance on Burt, and found both Debby, and Alice David dro9wned in the lake. Burt had with his bike tried for Canada, he didn't make it.
