A decade ago, a music major college student drops out to work at a beach resort year around. His job as a waiter evolves to playing in a rock band full time. He also becomes an excellent surfer; then, tragedy strikes.
Years go by and Detective Bernie Rumgate discovers a series of unsolved armed robberies, plus a murder, that appear to have been done by the same man (while perusing cold cases). Everything indicates this man will strike again. Bernie's police procedures shine again.
