At twenty-eight, Rachel had for a long time taken it for granted that she was destined to remain single. She had made a quiet life for herself, living with her family and helping to run their lovely country home, and she was reasonably content. But a visitor from the past changed all that -- David Winslow, bringing with him memories of her vanished, the long-forgotten unhappy love for Jon Sandred.
