About This Book

The author's tale about Mike Romano, a New York City Police Officer, closely follows the author's own career and the characters he encountered while serving as a police officer in New York City. As the story unfolds, Mike, now works on 42nd Street in Manhattan, during the late Seventies, when sleaze still was the order of the day. His commanding officer is a crooked cop. Romano, always performing his duty to the best of his ability, is constantly trying to remove worms from the Apple. As the story unfolds, the flavor of New York City poignantly comes through. Mike finds that he has friends, on both side of the law.The reader learns that the work of a police officer is not all guns and violence. But........ 4.0 out of 5 stars Mike Romano Returns , March 23, 2011 By D. Ward - See all my reviews (REAL NAME) This review is from: Worms in the Apple (Paperback) This is the second installment in what I hope is a long series of novels. Oddly familiar and realistic, I can't help but feel as though I am there, in New York, with Mike trying to sift the Worms out of the Apple. I also wonder if the fictional names were created to protect the "not so" innocent.
