Wolves at the Door

It all started with just a Christmas play and two struggling souls, Peri and Ronald, who needed to make that play the best it could possibly be. For Peri, who considered it her Christian duty to take care of her abusive invalid mother, it was a few hours of beauty in an otherwise drab, thankless existence. For Ronald, a musician who grew up in a family of indifferent jocks, it was his only Christian ministry, the only thing that gave him any sense of worth. Although Peri and Ronald had modest goals for the play, God's goals for them were infinitely more exciting and fulfilling. Before they knew it, the two of them were on an adventure that would see them face those "wolves at the door," and exhibit great courage and selflessness while doing so, and, when all was done, receive the greatest reward of all—a magnificent future of God's loving design.
