Wistle's Promise

'Whistle's Promise' is a children's book that deals with the loss of a loved one. Children, like adults, have to deal with loss, sadness, even death. 'Whistle's Promise' shows how a loving family of beavers deal with the passing of their mother; how they grieve together, cry together, and remember all the good times they had with the one that has left them. It also shows how the girl, Whistle, keeps a promise she made to her dying mother. It ends with the coming of spring and a renewed feeling of hope in all their hearts.
